Hi, I'm Brian Stanton
Author of Keto Intermittent Fasting, certified health coach, and founder of primalsapien.com.
My materials help people level up their health. In particular, I focus on my area of expertise—a combination of the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting—to help you burn more fat, achieve your health goals, and age more gracefully.
HERE'S WHY I'M DIFFERENT THAN MOST HEALTH "EXPERTS"
I don’t tout miracle supplements or quick fixes. Instead I provide sustainable strategies for improving metabolic health. (Burning more fat). It takes some effort initially, but provides a huge payoff at the end.
A big-name publisher (Callisto Media) published my book, Keto Intermittent Fasting. Most health “gurus”, by contrast, are bloggers or personal trainers—not published authors.
Most of my material is free. My stuff is premium quality (I’m well paid as a freelance writer), but I’ve resisted the urge to monetize everything.
With so much health-related info on the internet, it's hard to know who to trust. Here's my story, if you're interested.
My Health Wasn’t Always #1
I’m a big believer in putting health number one, but my past self wasn’t. I was the college student wolfing down double cheeseburgers and rubbery chicken sandwiches while most of the world slept. That was my weekend ritual. But when I turned 23, life intervened.
The intervention was a stomach virus. It lasted a week, but my symptoms lingered into May, June, July, and August. When I visited a stomach doc that summer, he nonchalantly diagnosed me with irritable bowel syndrome. I was angry, ashamed, and—worst of all—perpetually uncomfortable.
Months later, having fruitlessly zipped around the healthcare system, I decided to take matters into my own hands. While I was supposed to be creating spreadsheets at work, I pored over blogs, articles, and studies on nutrition. Keto wasn’t popular yet, but a similar approach called Paleo was catching fire. No grains, no sugar, no processed junk—only foods we evolved to eat. I went all in.
You can probably guess where this is going. It took time, effort, and experimentation, but my symptoms slowly faded to zero. Changing my diet cured me. It also propelled me into a highly rewarding career. I like to think that maybe my work is helping someone—someone like the 23-year-old me—who’s ardently seeking better health.
You might be wondering how this applies to your situation. I’d be wondering the same if I were you.
It applies because diet is the single most important lever for managing your health. What you eat (and when you eat) has profound effects on your weight, energy levels, mood, disease risk, and everything else that matters in life. Sleep, exercise, and social ties are close runners up—and if you neglect these areas, your long-term health will suffer—but it all starts with diet.
Keto Intermittent Fasting
Since leveling up my health years ago, I’ve written on many health-related topics for different publications. Two topics, however, kept coming up: the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting.
In fact, these topics came up so much…I got a book deal
And so I wrote Keto Intermittent Fasting (Callisto Media). Basically, it’s an engaging summary of the keto fasting approach—why it works, how to do it, and 100 low-carb recipes.
When you combine the ketogenic diet with a fasting regimen, the results can be powerful. One builds off the other—and it can literally supercharge your metabolic health.
Praise for my book, Keto Intermittent Fasting
